University of Connecticut Host Site for BOSPRE 2017
BOSPRE 2017 is over! See the
scoreboard(pdf),
description of scoreboard format included
here,
and problems(pdf).
Contestants can log back into their contest accounts using the
passwords they were given just before the contest. They can
continue solving BOSPRE 2017 problems
with the autojudge judging. Time has been replaced on the
scoreboard by a scoring system the assigns 100 points to
each solved problem but multiplies this by 0.95 for each
previous incorrect submission.
You also get the judge's first
failed test case input/out returned to you on an incorrect
submission for ALL the problems.
Judge's input, solutions, and output for BOSPRE 2017
are available to BOSPRE 2017 contestants on a
private web page: a password has been sent to the team coaches.
Practice facilities will be available throughout the school year.
See here.
BOSPRE 2017 was a cooperative effort between MIT, University of
Connecticut, and Brandeis, who hosted the teams,
and Harvard, who provided judging and problems using the net.
We plan for BOSPRE to be held every year, with Harvard providing
judging and computer support, and other schools hosting teams.
A host site may use classrooms that are well quipped with WIFI
and provide 3 seats per team.

If you have further questions or want to serve as host for 2018,
contact walton@seas.harvard.edu or the people at RIT.
For those who may be interested,
a different non-ACM programming contest is run by the
Consortium for Computing Sciences in Colleges in the Spring: see
`programming contest' at
CCSCNE 2018.
